Bedside Emergency Book

Am I alone in needing, rather, really wanting, an emergency bedtime book? In case, for example, I've finished a book and I'm still awake.

This is why I purchase at least two books at a time.

Now on the last chapter of my latest, I'm reading it as slowly as possible because my usual emergency book isn't there. Re reading a book is always an option, but it's just not the same when you've already unraveled a book.

So really, does anyone share my fear of not having an emergency bedside book?
