A Golden Age versus Wartime

The Golden Age versus Wartime: The Spanish Golden Age, the 1500’s to the 1600’s, from the myriad of geographical Golden Age eras, is the one I choose to focus on. History tells us that art is one of the very best human tools, and this period is considered golden because varied forms of arts reigned supreme.

The American Civil War, from the myriad of geographical wartime eras, is the one I choose to focus on. History tells us that this was a crude and horrific war that nobody wanted, or wanted to be involved in.

What we have on one hand is the absolute metaphor of light versus the absolute metaphor of dark. As we evolve as a species in this day and age of global communication there are certainly things we ought to understand from this comparison. We need to learn from past and foolhardy historical mistakes but remember historically, what did work.

Let us come together and walk in the light, before it is too late.
