The State of Virginia and American Civil War

More than 50 percent of the American Civil War happened in the State of Virginia because Virginia was the line of travel to Richmond Virginia, the Confederacy's capital. The war also ended in Virginia, 1865.

Thousands of our young men crudely died on the way. Crude. I'm a writer hence a desktop dictionary is likely at hand. I searched for some time before I reached this word to describe the manner of their death.

Via Merriam-Webster online, crude as in: marked by the primitive, gross, or elemental or by uncultivated simplicity or vulgarity.

Later today, the Spanish Golden Age nonfiction magic of the fiction by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, "Don Quixote"!
