Absolute Metaphor

An absolute metaphor is when there is no connection between the subject and the metaphor, however, the metaphor is often more linguistically powered through honor.

It is a concept that can't be replaced with language or a conceptualized thought.  Absolute metaphors have distinctive meanings, relative to literal meanings.  Absolute metaphors are so important that they orient the individual in the world.

An example of an absolute metaphors is "light" for "truth".  We use them all the time.  When coming up with an absolute metaphor as a way to express your frustrations, do you run into a brick wall?  What's your favorite absolute metaphor?  Is it on the tip of your tongue?
